Canon digital ixus 80 IS... how do you get black and white?

My suggestion is not to use the camera black and white but do it later with a program like Picasa from google. It does great black and white conversions where you get to pick the color that is dominant by simply moving the mouse over a rainbow color pallette. You get much better results if you are interested in b/w photos for arty pictures.
