Could this be endometriosis?

It could be... however I was offered birth control pills to treat endometriosis. Birth control pills fool your body into thinking you are pregnant (albeit with a monthly bleed) and endometriosis clears up when pregnant as the hormones that cause it are not present.. ditto the pill. I think its strange that your doctor says this as definitely the pill is used to treat enometriosis (which is tissue from the lining of the womb which 'escapes' and grows in other parts of the body. Hopefully the pill will sort it, if not go for the laparoscopy as there may be another reason. /best of luck hun ;)
