Psp vs ds?????!!!!!!!!!!!!?

i am deciding which handheld to get within the next two weeks. i enjoy games such as god of war and metal gear, so psp is obvious... but also feel that maybe i should try the ds because of how i use to play nintendo alot. but grant it, and this may make the answer obivious i know, but i have gone through 3 ds's and traded them in. i have played the marios, zelda, and metroid on the ds and just dont enjoy them. do you think im missing anything else on the ds or is the psp deff for me?
