Missed the Pinellas County Florida homestead exemption deadline?

I live in Pinellas County Florida. I am a first time home owner (condo) and have had this home since June of 09. I thought I had until March 10th to file for my homestead exemption. In prep to go and file I started doing some research (today) and see that the deadline is not March 10th rather it is March 1st. Please no lectures. You couldn't possibly beat me up more than I'm beating myself up over this. In a nutshell, am I screwed? Do I need to be a big boy and bite the bitter bullet I fired at myself or is there some recourse? Appreciate any help you have to offer. Dave
